The pop-up shop OPENS!

Yesterday we flung open the doors to our new pop-up shop!

hats and hats and hats, oh my!

We have decked it out in all our lovely pieces and thought we'd share a few quick snaps with you all before the official launch next Thursday...

lovely hand-restored painted feathers from the 1920s...
And introducing the first pieces from our new collection 'Razzle Dazzle Rose' -
the 'Row Boat Sweethearts' straw hat complete with sweet corsage detail!

Probably the hardest for me to part with - antique silk spiderweb veiling from the 1930s!
So soft, so delicate. Swoon!

Of course, a few lovely people have been a big help:
A special thanks to James from Re-Creations who kindly lent us the absolutely stunning mirror and shelving. It's a perfect match for every other piece of decor and does the space a world of favours! Both are also for sale...

And to Stacey from Busy Bee Garden Service for lending us the picturesque plants and succulents. She very sweetly has faith that I won't kill them!

And what are hat's without hatstands? When displayed: not very much at all. Arjuna from Mandali Guitars kindly took a moment from many far more important projects to whip up a number of beautiful tall and sturdy hat stands for us. We love them!

We certainly hope to see you at the opening next Thursday

When: Thursday 30th September, 6-9pm
Where: Gaffa Gallery, ground floor, 281 Clarence Street Sydney
What: LAUNCH PARTY!
For: The Arcade Project featuring Ginny & Jude Designs, Finders Keepers Collective and Frankie Magazine Reading Room

See you there!

We're having ourselves a pop-up shop!

Have you heard? Ginny & Jude Designs are opening a pop-up shop!
From September 21st until October 27th, we will construct an intimate millinery salon inside Sydney city’s Gaffa Gallery as part of their Arcade Project, an initiative run in collaboration with The Finders Keepers.

Showcasing headpieces and fascinators from previous collections ‘Buttermilk Sky’ (Spring / Summer 2009) and ‘Harlequin’ (Autumn / Winter 2010), visitors to the shop will get the first sneaky peek at the Ginny & Jude Designs Spring / Summer 2010 collection; ‘Razzle Dazzle Rose’.
Inspired by country lanes, meadows at dusk and lazy afternoons in the orchard, ‘Razzle Dazzle Rose’ is an unabashedly romantic ode to summer. Delicate feathers and antique silk and paper blooms evoke the mischief and revelry of times past.
To complete this selection of headwear, a collection of one-off millinery pieces designed and handmade specifically for Spring Racing Carnival Season will be available for a strictly limited time.

To pop the cork on this residency, Gaffa Gallery and The Finders Keepers will host a launch party on Thursday 30th September from 6pm-9pm.
Our designer Rabia Lockwood will be there to toast the shops opening with you and to help you find the perfect headpiece to complete your Racing outfit.
Rabia will also be taking bookings for private consultations to fit and customize bespoke pieces tailored to individual particulars throughout the duration of the pop-up shop, by appointment only.
Booking for these consultations is imperative and to avoid disappointment, booking ahead is recommended.
Contact appointments@ginnyandjude.com to secure an appointment.
